Which 3 words best define how you would like your art to be perceived?
INTELLECTUAL INTUITION , CONNECTED
What creative challenge have you faced and overcome that has transformed your art practice?
The illusion that the image of Self is fixed. Change feels good and is part of nature. The connection to inner wilderness in some form became very important and essential in my art practice.
I am not the first to say, everything is delicately interconnected.
What tools do you use as part of the preliminary stages of your process?
I am mostly inspired by a mental (or emotional) drive. The grooves that circle on my inner record. I refine them until the `right` form and the `right’ color pours out.
How do you usually start an art session - any habits or rituals?
Tea. Music sometimes. Going through old stuff sometimes.
Do you specifically schedule time for your art practice?
No. It’s a spiritual neccessity.
Where do you draw your color inspiration from?
Color is very important in my work. To me color is the connection of the physical and the metaphysical world. After all color is light and what is light really? The colors I am searching ideally bend towards a metaphysical plane. That´s why I keep the forms abstract. I like the colors to be radiant and dim. Swinging, vibratorial or mono.
What do you like and dislike about your art?
Up to the point I am at right now, I learned to only do what I like to do. I love what I do and I do what I love. And I humbly work through the predicaments.
What brilliant piece of advice were you given on your creative journey and would be happy to share?
Stay cool.
